The latest Trunk Studios creation is this custom display of Julio Pansisello's original art from his series The Havisham Hour. The artwork was created on both sides of a page torn from the Charles Dickens novel, Great Expectations. The display allows easy viewability from both sides and invites the admirer to pick up the piece for a closer view.

Small dog, big heart. The addition of little Ruby brightens up the lives of the Andrews family.
Spring is here so don't let too much time go by before booking your own family photo session. Let's make some memories.

In part two of my article on Industrial Color Brands I visit the “Best Coast” location headed up by Business Director and General Manger Joann Gambino. I sat down with Joann at the Culver City location and talked about Industrial Color’s west coast studio, their staff and crew, as well as the culture of celebrity brands in Los Angeles. In my previous post (click HERE to see Part 1 of my article) I chatted with founder and CEO, Steve Kalalian about the company he built to service photographers, production companies and advertising agencies by offering cutting edge production resources and software solutions.

For my glamour shoots, women walk in wearing sweats with a scrunchie in their hair, sit down to professional hair and make-up and are transformed in to their inner cover girl. I thought it would be valuable to have a behind the scenes video in addition to a portfolio of images when sharing these sessions in cyber space. Play below:
Seeking out a crew who had their own content to share added value and potential for wider visibility.
I collaborated with my good friend Kikey Castillo to be my model/victim. Kikey is a actress and TV host with her own Los Angeles lifestyle blog. She invited Steve Galindo who brought his pro styling skills and Lori Sandler with custom jewelry from her shop, DragonHorse Studios.
Feeling like a cover girl
I reached out to my go-to make up artsist Narcisse Chico and videographer Lucy Eagleson to capture HD footage. I edited on Avid (pro editors, be gentle) adding a fun original track "Indie Anna Jones" from singer Queen B. My lovely wife Donna Grillo co-produced with me. We shot at the spacious Martini Factory studio in Downtown LA, taking advantage of the abundant natural light. Easy, right? Well, it was definitely fun. Now when I discuss my Glamour Shoots with potential clients I can show them the video as well as my portfolio which helps them understand the whole transformative experience
